Buying or selling a home can be stressful. That’s why RE/MAX offers a program to protect our clients and let them rest easy. It covers a range of complications that might come up during the sale or purchase of a property.
1 – Delay and withdrawal
Withdrawn financing, job loss, separation, fire, land-surveying problems—buyers and sellers are vulnerable to all kinds of unpredictable issues that can jeopardize a sale. Luckily, the program will reimburse any additional, unforeseen and reasonable expenses incurred (minus the $300 deductible and within a period of 180 days following the scheduled closing date or the deadline specified in the policy).

2 – Death
In the event of the death of the buyer or their spouse, if the buyer’s estate no longer wishes to buy the house, sellers protected by the Tranquilli-T program will still be paid the sale price stated in the promise to purchase. What a relief!

3 – Legal assistance
The program includes a free legal information telephone service to assist with legal issues related to the property or transaction. Problems with neighbours? A hidden defect comes to light? Your client just needs to pick up the phone to speak with a member of the Barreau du Québec specializing in real estate transactions.

4 – Small claims
In the event of a conflict, clients protected by the Tranquilli-T program can receive up to three hours of legal assistance for issues falling under the jurisdiction of the Small Claims Division of the Court of Québec. They’ll receive crucial advice to help settle the conflict.
